What's inside

What’s in the baking edition

4 pages, eight occasions. The cover puts the whole baking year on one page.

  1. Eight occasions, one page

Thanksgiving, Christmas cookies, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, July 4, zucchini season and Halloween.

  2. The one most brands miss

Zucchini bread gets 201,000 searches in August 2026. It has its own card, with a publish-by date of June 1, 2027.

  3. Three bakes per occasion

Each with its searches in the peak month and what it uses: flour, mixes, chocolate or sugar.

  4. New Year’s is skipped, on purpose

Only one searched bake rises for New Year's Eve and Day. Not enough to plan around.

  5. A checklist for each occasion

Name the recipe the way people search (“sugar cookie recipe”, not “Nana’s festive rounds”), plus six more steps.

Who it’s for

For brands whose products end up in someone’s oven.

  • For you if

You sell flour, baking mixes, chocolate, sugar or sprinkles on Shopify.

  • For you if

Your holiday recipes usually go up in December, and you suspect that’s late.

  • For you if

You want one baking plan for the whole year, not a scramble before each holiday.

  • Not for you if

You sell finished baked goods only. The ideas assume people bake at home with what you sell.

Questions about the calendar

Thanksgiving says “Now”. Is it too late?

The date on the card has passed, because pie searches start climbing in September. November, the peak month, is still ahead. Publish your pie recipe this week rather than skip it.

Why is there a zucchini card?

Because the searches are there. Zucchini bread got 201,000 US Google searches in August 2026, and they start climbing in June. It isn't a holiday, so it's easy to miss.

Where do the numbers come from?

US Google search volumes from Google Ads keyword data, pulled through DataForSEO for September 2025 to August 2026. The volumes are Google's rounded monthly estimates. Each occasion curve adds up the searches for its three bakes. The calendar shows what people search for. It doesn't show what sells in your store.

Do I need Recipe Kit to use it?

No. Use it with any recipe page. If you want the flour or mix in each recipe linked so a reader can add it to their cart, that's what Recipe Kit does. Try it free on the Shopify App Store.

Is there an edition for other categories?

Yes. Besides this one, there are editions for spices and seasonings, sauces and condiments, coffee and tea, meat and seafood and snacks. There's also a general edition for all food brands.
