Questions, answered.
Do I need to install tracking code?
No. Recipe Kit uses a Shopify web pixel, so there is no code to paste into your theme. Turn on analytics with one click in the app (paid plans). Data starts once your first recipe is published.
How is Shopify revenue credited to a recipe?
When a shopper adds a product to cart from a recipe, or clicks an ingredient link, and then completes checkout, that order's revenue is credited to the recipe. Conversion and revenue are on the Growth plan.
Can I see which products perform best?
Not by product. Analytics are reported per recipe: views, conversion, shares, prints, ratings and revenue.
Can I export the data?
Yes. Export recipe performance as a CSV for spreadsheets or your own reports.
Does it track mobile visitors?
Yes. Recipe Kit tracks visitors on every device: desktop, tablet and mobile.
