How much can I realistically earn per referral?
A typical Recipe Kit customer is on the Advanced plan ($29/mo or $280/yr). At 20% recurring, that's roughly $56–$70/year per referred store. Five active referred stores = ~$300/year. Agencies with 20+ food-brand clients often earn $1,500–$4,000/year passively.
How long does the commission last?
12 months from the referred store's first paid charge. After 12 months, recurring commission ends but the relationship continues — if the same account refers more stores later, those are tracked separately and each gets their own 12-month window.
What's the cookie window for attribution?
14 days. If a merchant clicks your link and installs Recipe Kit within 14 days, the referral is attributed to you — even if they sign up through the Shopify App Store directly after that first click.
When and how do you pay out?
Payouts are monthly, on the 15th of each month, via PayPal or Wise. Minimum payout threshold is $50 — anything below rolls over to the next month. Commissions on refunded subscriptions are clawed back within the same month.
Can I refer my own store?
No. Self-referrals, referrals to stores you own or operate, and referrals to stores where you're the Shopify account holder are not eligible for commission. But you can absolutely use Recipe Kit on your own store — just not through your partner link.
Do you have marketing materials I can use?
Yes. Approved partners get access to a shared Google Drive with brand assets, screenshots, demo videos, case studies, and pre-written email and social copy. We also run partner-only webinars twice a year.
