Where do my recipes actually live?
On your own blog posts. Recipe Kit adds the card to a post on your domain, so the URL, the traffic and the SEO history stay yours. Nothing is hosted on someone else's site, and switching apps later does not change your URLs.
Do I need a developer to set this up?
No. Recipe Kit installs as a Shopify theme app extension — you add the block once in your theme editor, no code. Everything after that happens inside the app. Online Store 2.0 themes work out of the box. Older themes need one snippet, and our install guide walks you through it.
Can I bring over the recipes I already have?
Yes. Import a single recipe from its URL, or your whole library from a CSV file using our template. Rather not do it yourself? Our team can migrate your recipes as a paid add-on.
Can I publish in more than one language?
Yes. You write the recipe in whatever language you sell in, and you can change every label on the card. On Growth and Enterprise, automatic translations work with Shopify's translation apps. Recipes rank in non-English search the same way they do in English.
Will Recipe Kit slow down my store?
