Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Bolle Digital Inc. ("Recipe Kit", "we", "us"), a company in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They cover your use of Recipe Kit on Shopify, on BigCommerce, on other websites, and on recipe sites we host for you (together, "the service"). By installing or using Recipe Kit, you agree to them. If you use Recipe Kit for a business, you agree for that business.

1. The service

Recipe Kit lets you create recipes, show them as recipe cards on your store or website, link products to them, and see how readers use them. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature you pay for, we will tell you first.

2. Your account

  • Keep your login safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what your team members do.
  • Give us accurate contact details, so we can reach you about your account.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

3. Plans, trials and billing

  • Prices. The app and its marketplace listing show the current plans and prices. Prices are in US dollars and do not include taxes.
  • Free trial. New accounts get a free trial when a plan offers one. If you added a way to pay, we charge when the trial ends unless you cancel first. If you did not, editing pauses until you choose a plan.
  • Shopify. Shopify bills your Shopify account for Recipe Kit. Shopify's billing terms apply to those charges.
  • BigCommerce and other websites. We bill your card through Stripe each month until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the app or by uninstalling it. We do not refund partial months unless the law requires it.
  • Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect on your plan.

4. Your content

Your recipes, photos, text and settings ("your content") stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy, change the format of, and show your content only to run the service for you, for example to put a recipe card on your store or to make a print view. This permission ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies in backups until they expire.

You confirm that you have the rights to the content you add, including recipes and photos you import from a link, a post or a file.

5. AI features

Some features use AI to import, read or draft recipes. AI can make mistakes. Check ingredients, amounts, steps, allergens and nutrition before you publish. You are responsible for the recipes you publish.

6. Nutrition and food information

Nutrition facts in Recipe Kit are estimates. They are not medical or dietary advice. You are responsible for the food and allergen information you show to your customers.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Recipe Kit to:

  • break the law, or the rules of your store platform;
  • post content you do not have the rights to, or content that is harmful, hateful or misleading;
  • send spam, or collect readers' email addresses without their consent;
  • attack, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the security of the service;
  • resell the service without our written permission.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules. When we can, we will tell you first.

8. Your readers and their data

You are responsible for telling your store's visitors how you use their information, and for getting any consent the law requires, for example before collecting email addresses. Our Privacy Policy explains what Recipe Kit collects and how we process data for you.

9. Other platforms and services

Recipe Kit works with platforms and services that we do not control, such as Shopify, BigCommerce and your email tool. Their terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible if they change or stop working with Recipe Kit.

10. Availability and support

We work to keep Recipe Kit running and fast, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. For help, email help@recipekit.com.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Recipe Kit at any time. We can end this agreement or suspend your account if you break these terms or do not pay, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop offering the service, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your recipes.

12. Disclaimers

We provide Recipe Kit "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise any level of sales, traffic or search ranking.

13. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or indirect damages. Our total liability for any claim about Recipe Kit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

14. Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Recipe Kit after that, you accept the new terms.

16. Governing law

The laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there govern these terms. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
